About Soleina Karamali, RD

Feeding is more than my work—its where my passion meets purpose.

I believe feeding your child shouldn’t feel overwhelming. My goal is to help you feel more confident, supported, and connected at the table.

How Did Soleina Get Here?

Nearly a decade in the public healthcare system showed me where families were being missed.

This sparked the creation of Every Eater — where we’re all about closing those gaps with caring, science-backed support that fits your family’s one-of-a-kind feeding adventure.

I’ve worked in complex feeding care, and I’ve also stood in my own kitchen wondering what to feed my toddler.

Both experiences matter. Both shape how I support families.

I believe humor and honesty are part of what makes this work sustainable for all of us.

Feeding is hard, but we’re in this together, through the messes, meltdowns, and the unexpected wins.

I’ve supported hundreds of families, both in hospitals and in homes...

…and I’ve seen firsthand how the right support can transform not just mealtimes, but family life as a whole.

What my professional bio missed about me:

Before becoming a mom, I spent years learning the science and theory behind feeding skills. But it wasn’t until this moment, when my son tried solids for the first time, that my understanding truly deepened. I realized how lucky I am to genuinely love what I do and realized that this was something I wanted to help other families love too! This was where the idea for “First Feast” came from.

My favourite food play ingredient?

Berries! squish them, paint with them, use them as berry lip balm..the options are endless!

(Check out the database to find out how I use it)

Published author! My friend snapped a picture of me cheesing with my published research paper! It took 10 years of data collection and several resubmissions to get it right. I’m so proud of the team at BC Children’s for pushing forward so our research could be recognized. A true team effort!

I’m a mom of two young kids (one adventurous eater, one very particular one).

My trusted single-pot meal is the Oh She Glows Cozy Butternut, Sweet Potato, and Red Lentil Stew.

It was delivered to me post-partum and was the warmest hug in a bowl I needed during early feeding challenges. It’s now my tried-and-true favorite that I love delivering to all my postpartum friends — comforting, nourishing, and easy to make!

As a child, I struggled with eating...

Anything that wasn’t plain pasta…and it’s still my favourite food (did you see our spaghetti logo :P)
